Prato della Valle is the largest square in Italy and one of the most iconic places in Padua. With its elliptical shape and the two canals that cross it, it is a large green space where history and beauty meet. At the center of the square is Isola Memmia, a small island surrounded by canals, on which stands a monument to Andrea Memmo, the Venetian nobleman who promoted its transformation in the 18th century.

The 78 statues that decorate the square represent illustrious figures from the history of Padua and Venetian culture, while the canals add a romantic touch, reflecting the light of the sky and creating suggestive plays of shadows.
Prato della Valle is an ideal place to walk, relax or participate in events and markets, such as the famous Fiera di Sant’Antonio. During the day it is frequented by tourists, residents and students, while in the evening it offers a suggestive atmosphere with its lights that reflect on the water. A true green lung that represents the beating heart of the city, where history, art and daily life merge.
