Regional Day for the Venetian Hills: celebrating the territory in over 300 ways

The first Sunday of Spring marks the return of the day dedicated to celebrating the heritage of the Venetian hills.

The fourth edition of the Regional Day for the Venetian Hills will take place on Sunday 23 March in all the hills of the provinces of Treviso, Padua, Vicenza and Verona.

This day of celebration, desired by the Veneto Region, was officially established with Regional Law no. 25 of 3 August 2021, with Regional Councilor Marco Zecchinato as the first signatory and the implementation curated by the Regional Council, with the Councilor for Culture Cristiano Corazzari. The operational part is managed in collaboration with the UNPLI Veneto.

The festival takes place in the first days of the summer season and has as its main objective the enhancement of the natural, historical, cultural, sporting and food and wine heritage of the Venetian hills.

The hills of Veneto are a common treasure, as precious as they are fragile, made up of breathtaking landscapes, small villages, ancient churches, traditional crafts and typical products. During the day, the public will be able to discover these places through a series of events that will animate the hills of the provinces involved.

The program includes guided tours, extraordinary openings, shows, meetings, markets and numerous food and wine events with tastings of excellent products from the participating areas. There will be over 300 different opportunities to celebrate the hilly territory of Veneto, all to be discovered thanks to the geolocalized map available on the website www.unpliveneto.it.

The annual event, which celebrates the cultural heritage of the Veneto hills, will also give particular prominence to the Treviso Hills. This year’s program will be a concrete example of how the project can contribute to the development of tourist reception in the entire area, involving not only operators in the sector, but also those who live and work in these lands.

Many locations in the province of Treviso, from the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene to Montello and the Asolani Hills, will host 113 events, thanks to the commitment of volunteers and the strong bond with their territory.
