Everything is ready on the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene DOCG for a weekend to enjoy. Many, in fact, will be the Wine Exhibitions that will open this coming weekend, giving life, together with those already underway, to a widespread festival that will celebrate the area’s food and wine tradition.

It starts in the hamlet of Guia, located in a wide valley in the municipality of Valdobbiadene and surrounded by hills embroidered with vineyards, with the 53rd Mostra del Valdobbiadene DOCG (Valdobbiadene DOCG wine exhibition), which will open on 21 April and close on 7 May. Not to be missed is the area dedicated to the self-tasting of Valdobbiadene DOCG, the true protagonist of the exhibition. In addition, on Tuesday 25 April, there will be the opportunity to take part in a lunch with traditional spit and participate in guided walks through the vineyards to discover the territory.

In Miane, from 21 April to 1 May, the Mostra del Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG will be staged, an event offering a vast selection of wines from the UNESCO area, from Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Cartizze to Verdiso IGT. Also on the programme are guided tastings, dinners with typical products, visits to wine cellars, live music, games for children, and excursions to get to know a splendid territory.

From 21 April to 1 May, the 19th Mostra del Cartizze e Valdobbiadene DOCG in San Giovanni will instead be an opportunity to get to know and get closer to the oenological products of excellence, namely Cartizze and Valdobbiadene DOCG, their producers and, above all, their territory of origin and production. Indeed, the highlight of the exhibition will be the guided walks through the vineyards, to fully experience the ‘rive’ (hillsides) where a unique product is born and to immerse oneself in the viticultural reality of Valdobbiadene DOCG.

Cison di Valmarino, from 22 April to 1 May, will come alive with the 2nd edition of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG Exhibition, the aim of which is to promote the oenological culture of the area and to enhance “The Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG”, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The exhibition will be enlivened by a rich programme of collateral events, such as walks with tastings, the challenge to the best spit, mountain bike or e-bike excursions, and craft workshops dedicated to children, to rediscover ancient manual work.

In Colbertaldo di Vidor, from 22 April to 1 May, the 42nd edition of the Mostra dei Vini delle Rive di Colbertaldo e Vidor will be held. Hosting the event, set in an amphitheatre among the vine-covered hills, is the Madonna delle Grazie area, an ideal place to discover the marvels of Valdobbiadene DOCG in its territory of origin, to be paired with local gastronomy, and the perfect starting point for exploring enchanting places.

In Refrontolo, from 22 April to 7 May, the Barchessa of the 17th-century Villa Battaglia-Spada will host the 52nd Wine Exhibition. The exhibition features Refrontolo Passito DOCG, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and typical local wines. The splendid location is the setting for the event, during which visitors will be able to taste typical local products, take part in guided tastings and games for children. And there will also be the traditional Refrontolo Passito March, now in its 39th edition.

Meanwhile, until 24 April, the 67th Mostra del Valdobbiadene DOCG in Col San Martino continues, the longest-running of the exhibitions linked to the Primavera del Prosecco, which every year showcases around a hundred labels from the producers of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, while in San Pietro di Barbozza there is time until 23 April to visit the 51st Mostra del Cartizze e Valdobbiadene DOCG, where Prosecco Superiore DOCG and traditional spit will be the stars. Also on the programme is a packed calendar of activities, including themed dinners, walks, tastings and visits to the headquarters of the Confraternity of Valdobbiadene.

There are also numerous side events that, for the entire duration of Primavera del Prosecco Superiore, will offer interesting ideas for discovering the Unesco World Heritage Hills, such as the exciting Slow Bike Primavera del Prosecco Superiore, an initiative promoted by Primavera del Prosecco Superiore and the Visit Prosecco Hills Business Network, which offers the opportunity to admire and discover the beauty of the area while riding an E-BIKE or MTB! Five eno-gastronomic bike rides are scheduled between the Primavera del Prosecco wine exhibitions, discovering vineyards and cellars, with tasting of typical products and wines of this wonderful land.
