Starting in 2025, the Venice access fee will undergo some significant changes. The cost of the daily ticket for visitors who do not stay overnight in the city will go from 5 to 10 euros. However, it is possible to benefit from a reduced rate of 5 euros by booking at least four days before the visit through the official portal.
The days on which it will be mandatory to pay the fee will increase from 29 to 54 in 2025, covering periods of greater tourist influx, including long weekends and weekends, from April 18th until the end of July. In 2025, the entrance ticket to Venice will be mandatory from 8:30 to 16:00 on the following 54 days:
- April: from 18 to 30
- May: 1-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25, 30-31
- June: 1-2, 6-8, 13-15, 20-22, 27-29
- July: 4-6, 11-13, 18-20, 25-27
Cost: €10, reduced to €5 with reservation at least 4 days in advance.

Exemptions are foreseen for various categories, including:
- Residents of the Municipality of Venice.
- Commuter workers and students with a study center in Venice.
- Visitors staying overnight in accommodation facilities within the municipal territory.
- Residents of the Veneto Region.
- Children under 14 years of age.
- People with certified disabilities and their companions.
It is important to note that, even if exempt from payment, these categories must still register on the dedicated portal and book the visit.
