“Village in Pink,” the Giro’s headquarters is at Longarone Fiere Dolomiti

Parties, workshops, conferences and bicycle museums Friday and Saturday

Music Thursday night, Vajont remembrance before the start, then the start and the party that goes on. Longarone Fiere is the Dolomite headquarters of the Giro d’Italia.

The “Village in Pink” set up inside the fairgrounds sparked the festivities as early as last night, with the ribbon cutting of the three collections of the Colnago Museums, the Cesiomaggiore bicycle and the Manifattura Valcismon. Vintage bikes and historic jerseys that wrote epic pages of cycling that immediately attracted the attention of curious onlookers and fans. The real crowd bath came with this morning’s stage start, when the Villaggio in Rosa kicked off the workshops of Confartigianato, which brought craft activities to the Fair for children and young people to try out. Workshops that will be repeated throughout the day today.

There was also no lack of homage to Vajont, on the 60th anniversary of the tragedy, with Vincenzo Nibali, with the presidents of the Region and Province – Zaia and Padrin – laying a bouquet of flowers among the memorial stones at the Fortogna Monumental Cemetery. In the afternoon today, also an interesting conference on innovation and territory curated by Confindustria Belluno. In the evening the Festa in Rosa is scheduled with Belluno by Night 1990.

And tomorrow the Giro atmosphere continues in music, with the “Impact in Pink” event: at 10 p.m. Radio Piterpan will send Lady Helen and Sister Gloria to the stage at Longarone Fiere Dolomiti.
