LILT, the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer, presents in Oderzo on September 20th at 7:00 pm, the sixth edition of the Pigiama Run, the race walking in pyjamas organized to support children with cancer.
The event will take place in over 40 Italian cities and every donation will go to projects and support and reception services for young patients and their families. All over the world, the month of September is dedicated to the gold ribbon, the golden ribbon symbolizing awareness of pediatric tumors. Informing on the topic is also the purpose of the Pigiama Run, which this year has reached its sixth edition.
On September 20, starting at 7:00 p.m., people will walk and run in their pajamas in 40 Italian cities + 25 locations, with four large hubs: Milan, Rome, Palermo and Bari. In collaboration with the paediatric departments of the hospitals of Treviso and Conegliano, LILT provides patient transport and, through the presence of Giocare in Corsia, provides recreational activity services to young patients. The goal is to exceed the fundraising of 500 thousand euros to be allocated to projects and support and reception services for children with cancer and their families.
In Oderzo in 2023, 5,000 euros were raised thanks to the participation of 600 people. The Pigiama Run is sponsored by Coni and Sport e salute, the Oderzo event is sponsored by the Municipality.
