Sunday 23 July, 09:30 at the Plaza Nuova in Pieve di Livinallongo, time trial start of the Vertical Km Càl del Lana. The competition takes place along a track that leads from Pieve di Livinallongo (1452m) to the summit of Col di Lana (2452m). 1000 metres of altitude difference in just two kilometres await the participants of this difficult race.
Starting in the centre of Pieve, the competitors will first climb the steep grassy slope and then, through a forest of fir and larch trees, to the village of Prade. The gradually sparser vegetation will make it possible to catch sight of the evident hollow of the Busc del Bruo, which the competitors will tackle by overcoming an easy rocky step. Following the line of maximum gradient, they will tackle the Teriol Ladin and after a decided increase in gradients in the final stretch, the competitors will reach the panoramic summit of the Col de Lana.
For the 8 to 16 year olds, there will be the Mini Vertical, with a time trial start every 30 seconds, at 11:00 a.m. from Pieve di Livinallongo.e with arrival in Prade, after a positive height difference of 350 metres.
