The sartorial, artisanal and sustainable fashion week returns to Venice from 21 to 27 October 2024 to celebrate Made in Italy and the excellence of the territory.
From 21 to 27 October 2024, the event dedicated to craftsmanship, sartorial fashion and sustainable design returns to Venice, celebrating Made in Italy and the excellence of the territory, now in its eleventh edition. Seven days of meetings, artisans, exhibitions and conferences to tell the creative and executive capacity of a territory that stands out in the world for its handmade products and that play an essential role in the current market.
The 2024 edition, which sees the patronage of the Municipality of Venice, Fondazione Cologni Mestieri d’Arte, Tavolo Veneto della Moda, Associazione Piazza San Marco and the partnership of Vela Spa, tells the cultural identity of the city in the historic buildings and city ateliers, such as Palazzo Sagredo, Palazzo Venart and the artisan ateliers, theaters to tell the mastery.
“Venice Fashion Week confirms itself as an event of great importance for our city and is deeply linked to Venice and its ability to address crucial issues, not only of the present, but also of the future – comments the Councilor for Tourism, Simone Venturini – It is no coincidence that, over the years, Venice Fashion Week has placed emphasis on fundamental issues such as sustainability, ethics and craftsmanship, in a sector, that of fashion, which is experiencing significant transformations after the pandemic”.
Among the events, the new edition of Le Mani Sapienti, an event that showcases sartorial fashion, and The Blue Artisan Award, which celebrates a master craftsman and the transmission of know-how to new generations in the historic spaces of the Hotel Saturnia & International. For the third year, Jacopo Ascari designs the image of Venice Fashion Week.
