Gastronomic exhibition “Asparago Bianco di Bassano DOP” – until 13/06

With the arrival of spring comes one of our territory’s excellences: the Bassano White Asparagus PDO.

The event, celebrating its 44th edition, once again this year involves all members offering recipes based on Bassano White Asparagus.

During this period, all activities are preparing to offer their customers a tasting with more or less classic recipes to celebrate the Bassano asparagus, defined as unique for its organoleptic characteristics.

There will be 11 gala evenings whose menu will be entirely dedicated to the white shoot.

Legend has it that it was introduced to Bassano by Saint Anthony of Padua, who came to the city to appease the terrible tyrant Ezzelino da Romano, and that it found fertile ground here thanks to the qualities of the soil.

The first documents attesting to the presence of asparagus cultivation in the Bassano area date back to the period of the Serenissima Republic.
